Anahita Taneja | | Shrine Empire Gallery proudly presents a two person show titled ‘The People’.
Delhi based Josh PS and Mumbai based Puja Puri are the participating artists in this show. Curated by the noted art critic, writer and curator, JohnyML. The show continues till the 10th of February, at 7, Friends Colony, West.
‘The People’ deals with the representation of ‘people’ in art. Generally people in art appear as victims. Often the accentuation is given on the suffering of people. However, ‘The People’ debates how the representational strategies could be implemented against the renewed theoretical backdrop of post colonial and multi-cultural discourse.
