hi Priyanka,
In regards to the Florence Biennale, it remains an artist supported programme. The turnout is generally large but you will not find any heavies from the collector circuit here...more artists in the crowd than even viewers generally. The majority of artists on view out there are selected by a random online viewing of works. There is no serious selection criteria that defines the mechanism of selection and I would have to lean in the direction of it not being the best option out there. Having stated this, you do get international exposure and you just might meet a European gallerist who might be interested in representing you in the future. Big 'mights' involved! You must also bear in mind that this is a self-funded operation - either that or you find a sponsor. In this market where even steady collectors are not actively part of the scene, finding a funding agency will be tricky turf, but here's my best if you do decide to launch forth.
I must point out that Florence is one of most beautiful cities in the world and showcases some of the most incredible art of all time. It is an absolute treat for the senses waiting to happen. If you can get your mind off your booth ie.
best,
A
